The Department of Mechanical Engineering Students enroll themselves as members of the following professional societies:-

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE): A Professional Society of Mechanical Engineering Department was registered with SAEINDIA for making students for upgrading their knowledge and skills in domain areas and to have good interaction with leading academicians and industry personnel enabling the students to have good interaction between Industry and Institution .
At Present there are 674 Student Members

Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI)

Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) is recognized as the institution representing the Quality Circle Movement in India and has represented the country in several international forums. QCFI is conducting Training and Orientation Programs for students in quality related issues. In-house Training and Orientation Programs is QCFI’s main strengths and has conducted numerous such training programs effectively. These in-house programs are based on Quality Circles integrated with TQM and related concepts.

Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers

Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors.

The Institution of Engineers (India)

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology, established in 1920 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. It is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers encompassing 15 (fifteen) engineering disciplines with a membership of more than 820 thousand, and serving the nation for more than 9 decades. The IEI has its headquarters located in Kolkata with national presence through more than hundred Centres and several Overseas Chapters, Foras and Organ.

ISTE is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System.
