- The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized “SAIMECH 2K19 INDIA DESIGN CONTEST titled MAVIS called Mechanical Engineers Active Vision in Integrating Society” on 23.08.2019 along with Association of Mechanical Engineers. Mr.M.V.Ravinder, Associate Vice President, OCF Engineering, IP Rings Ltd., was the Chief-Guest and delivered the inaugural address. Many Technical and Non technical events are to be conducted such as Mechathon, CAD Modeling, Technical Quiz, Business Plan, Short Film etc. Live workshops on 3D printing, automotive vehicles and many other events were conducted. More than 300 students from various Engineering colleges from Tamilnadu and other states participated. Free tree saplings were distributed to all participants. Prizes worth Rs.1,00,000 along with certificates, shields and gift vouchers were distributed to the winners.
