The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with IQAC and MHRD & Departments of Civil Engineering and Production Engineering conducted a two weeks refresher course on “Advancements in Mechanical, Production & Civil Engineering and ICT in Teaching –Learning Process” from 13th May to 26th May 2020. Eminent Professors from Premier Institutions like IIT, Anna University, and Professors who are working in Universities in Bahrain, Oman, and other countries along with experienced people associated with industries like Rolls-Royce Ltd., Rane (I) Ltd were the resource persons. They shared their expertise to highlight the importance of today’s requirement of interdisciplinary research to develop applications based engineering. The areas of advancements of new materials, automation processes involved in manufacturing, renewable energy resources, and Industry 4.0 were discussed. The importance of ICT in Teaching –Learning process was stressed. The faculty members from various engineering institutions all over India participated and benefitted.
