The Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a five days webinar on solar technology from 17-06-2020 to 21.06.2020. Dr.A.Rajendra Prasad, Principal, Sri Sairam Engineering College was the resource person on the first day and delivered a lecture on “Solar Thermal – PV Renewable Energy and its Applications”. On the second day, Dr. S. Suresh, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Trichy gave a lecture on “Nano Fluids and its Applications in Solar Thermal Systems”. On the third day Dr. S. Murugan , Professor , Department of Mechanical Engineering , National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Presented his lecture on “Recent Developments of Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors”. On the fourth day, Mr. Fawaz Hussain, Founder & CEO-DAYSTAR SOLAR gave a talk on Installation, detailed explanation of solar systems components and applications”. On the last day, Mr.S.Siva Chandran, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Department made a lecture on “Design Methodology for Solar System”. Around 350 students all over from India had participated and benefited.
