The Indian Welding Society (IWS) is a professional body in India dedicated to the advancement of welding and material joining technologies. It was established to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry professionals, researchers, and academics in the field. IWS is a member of the Asian Welding Federation (AWF) and actively partners with international organizations and institutions to promote welding education and training.

SAEINDIA is a premier, member-driven Indian non-profit engineering society for mobility professionals (automotive, aerospace, commercial vehicles) established in 1994, it promotes innovation through standards, technical events (Baja, SUPRA), and student professional development. Focuses on advancing technologies such as ADAS, software-defined vehicles, and off-highway mobility. It is an individual-member-driven society, with governing boards composed of industry leaders. It serves as a crucial bridge between academia and the mobility industry to enhance engineering skills.

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), founded in 1981. It advances HVAC&R technology, promotes sustainability, improves indoor air quality, and provides industry training, networking, and technical resources. Publishes technical literature, sets industry codes/standards, and collaborates with government bodies to promote sustainability. ISHRAE plays a critical role in educating and connecting professionals in the rapidly growing, energy-conscious HVAC&R sector in India.

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the world’s largest multi-disciplinary professional engineering body, established in 1920 and headquartered in Kolkata. IEI plays a vital role in setting national standards and fostering modern engineering development in India. It promotes engineering practices across 15 disciplines, offers the respected AMIE qualification, and holds international recognition (41 organizations) for professional mobility. It is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Members get access to peer-reviewed journals published with Springer Nature, technical monographs, and libraries nationwide. It provides a platform for collaboration through international conferences, national conventions, and seminars.

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading national professional non-profit society in India, established in 1941 (as ATPI) and registered in 1967, dedicated to advancing technical education. With over 124,000 life members and 5 lakh student members, it focuses on faculty development, student career growth, and improving engineering education standards. Formulate goals for technical education and update curriculum to meet changing conditions. Develop effective teachers and educational administrators. Organizes workshops, seminars, industrial visits, and expert talks for students and faculty development. ISTE also provides prestigious awards and fellowships to individuals and institutions for outstanding contributions to technical education.
